My dad told me to plan far ahead when it comes to moving to a really nice place in Singapore. He has told me stories of new residential skyscrapers being sold out for residential and commercial spaces long before they were finished being built. He said that the best way to get a brand new place to live in Singapore was to put in your application for a new property that was not built yet, then just move in after occupancy is approved. We have been looking at the information for the Seaside Residences in Siglap. The project is scheduled to be completed in 2024 with occupancy opening up before that.
We had put in a couple applications at existing buildings, and we have moved twice. Both properties were previously occupied. We really wanted a new place where we would be the first to have lived there. We like the idea of living with an ocean view, and we also wanted a luxury property with plenty of amenities. Plus, being the owners of a condo is also a goal. Just like any couple who is looking for a home, we wanted it to be close to great public educational institutions as well as mass transit, shopping and dining opportunities.
It is going to be an anxious wait as we keep tabs on the development of the Seaside Residences in SIglap. We have been liking what we have been reading, and it would be great to be able to move in today. However, that is how it goes planning for the long term. With our application in early, we are much more assured of getting the space we want. With the 843 units available, I think we have a good chance. For those wanting a commercial space there, they may be out of luck as there are only two open spaces for businesses.
